Celebrate the literary genius of Dylan Thomas, one of the most notable Welsh poets and writers. His profound and evocative work, including the timeless "Do not go gentle into that good night," has inspired and moved generations.
One of his most famous works is “Under Milk Wood” described by Dylan Thomas as 'a play for voices'. It is a hilarious account of a spring day in the fictional Welsh seaside village of Llareggubread.
There have been many productions of “Under Milk Wood” over the years and Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, Elizabeth Taylor, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Tom Jones have all starred in radio, stage or film adaptations.
Sterling Silver with 18ct gold nib
We designed this pen following the request from one of our customers, and when he received the prototype wrote “It is absolutely superb –the photographs do not do it justice.”
It is made in Sterling Silver with a hand drawn portrait of a young Dylan on the top of the cap, and his signature deep engraved around the cap band of the pen. An engine turned wave pattern graces the cap and barrel, to reflect the ripples of the Taf estuary Dylan must have watched as he sat in his Boathouse in Laugharne in Wales writing his creative masterpieces.
Variety for Every Writer
Available as both a fountain pen and rollerball, the Dylan Thomas Sterling Silver Pen caters to diverse writing preferences. The fountain pen variant features a range of nib options from Extra Fine to Broad, crafted in 18ct gold, while the rollerball offers a smooth, free-flowing ink experience with the ease of a ballpoint.
For those who appreciate versatility, a conversion kit is available, allowing the transformation of the fountain pen into a rollerball and vice versa, seamlessly adapting to your writing needs.
Pens are handmade to order, so please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
We can expedite orders if they are needed for a specific date, leave a note at checkout. See how here.
